BORING

Hi...just wanted to give a 'shout out' ;) to everyone. Nothing has happened in Milwaukee. We changed around our living room...but I've got to find the paint to cover up where we patched some nail holes.
Our new door might be in next week.
Ben starts school and has a birthday next week.
Sam and Ben started a new daycare.
That's it!
ooooh we're going camping this weekend.....maybe I'll post pictures from our camping trip.

Supper!!

Look at this...2 hours and I made

19 entrees and 1 dessert! I'm sooooooo excited...can't wait to try some of the yummy dishes! More more info go to

www.dinnerbydesignkitchen.com

Ok...in answer to questions...It was $210 (w/tax I think) for 12 entrees. However I halfed most of them (most are for 6 people--w/ BIG pieces of meat) so we actually have more than 19...There were a couple I didn't 1/2 like the ribs. We did this last year too...and all those were tasty! One of them this time is bourbon chicken....looks good and raspberry glazed chicken.

Grown Up!!

Charlie-- he's 2!
Charlie, Ben, Logan (2 mo.)
Me and Janet
So we've gone from drinking on Saturday nights to holding babies and giving them bottles on Saturday nights! I went to visit Janet and Dan in Indiana. They moved into their house in Indiana a couple weeks ago. We had a good time remembering life as it used to be.

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye...

Tuesday we went to the park for lunch. Seemed like a good idea at the time-- a few PB&J's, we'll read the hermit crab book....until you guessed it...the flag that Sam is holding made it's way into Ben's eye. He now has a scratch on his cornea. I felt a little bad--I kept telling him to stop crying.

Look out Betsy Ross!!!

I made a pillowcase for Sam to take to his new daycare. I think it looks pretty good..not perfect but good. He wants one for the pillow on his bed so I guess I'll get more practice.

More Door County

pictures from Cana Island

On Sunday we went Cherry picking. The kids thought it was cool to get all the 'berries' (as Sam put it).
The 1st picture is of the cherries once we got them home.

Then we went to Cana Island. It was a fun little walk across the jetty? We got to look around the lighthouse keepers house. Then we explored the lake.

After that, it was Home Sweet Home!

BREAK IN!!

I do have more pics from Door County. However, the BIG news at 2:38 a.m. and the reason I was roused from my beauty sleep...our cars were broken into tonight!!! They took my cell phone (the police called us from it). I guess my mini-van wasn't cool enough to try and steal though:( I mean who wouldn't want to joy ride in a mini-van! It's complete with: crumbs, food wrappers, old french fries, dirty socks, 1/2 chewed gum, dust, Elmo CD's, car seats, and MatchBox cars!!
Seriously though, Jason left the keys to my van in his Trail Blazer...they (the hoodlums) tried to start his car with my keys. Ahhhh...the youth of today...
My crime scene photo-- the glove box!!

Summer in the city

So it's about 7,000 degrees outside...and what to do to stay cool?
Well, we went to McDonald's with a playground for breakfast. I must say that we had a VERY, VERY nice teenager wait on us...as my brother, Rob, and I talked about... teenagers today are scary...so it very refreshing to have this kid be so nice and helpful.
We ran a few errands and then Alex, Candee and Marlee came over. The boys watched part of Ice Age and Marlee scooted around.
After nap time we went to the pool at the park. It was our LUCKY day. We got there at 3:30---thinking we'd only have an hour to swim (they close at 4 this year) however because it was SOOOOO hot, they stayed open until 5!
