Singing with Santa

Monday night we went to a retirement home with scouts to sing to the residents. The boys loved it-- as did the residents. We also were lucky enough to have a visit from Santa--does he look familiar;)

Halloween fun!

This is the morning after our big Halloween party. There were Tootsie Rolls left in the candy container. The squirrel kept jumping into the container and taking out Tootisie Rolls. Then it would take them out of the wrapper and bury them in the yard. FUNNY!!!

Jimmy and his girlfriend, Kim, came from Michigan and suprised us at the party. They also stayed to watch football the next day.The boys and I Saturday night.

Ben wanted to show off the Lego fire station he built. My favorite is of the captain sitting in his 'office' the boys put a coffee machine in the fire station because "the guys on Engine 51 drink coffee".

Birthday Girl!!!

Happy 80th Brithday to Granny Ginny!!!! We had a party in Belvidere to celebrate!! Cousin Peter came from CA just to help celebrate!!!

Today we went to Lake Michigan. It was a GREAT day. The boys played in the water and looked for animals.

Now and Then

July 3rd was my 20 year high school reunion. How I ever graduated from high school 20 years ago is beyond me- time sure flies!! I was really nervous about going...and honestly dreading it. I was soooooo looking forward to seeing my best girls from high school (see the bottom picture). All but 1 were there (she had already booked a cruise with her husband). The reunion turned out to be great. It was nice seeing familiar faces and catching up with everyone. I'm glad I went!!

We tried to do this picture in the same order as the one below...but after 20 years I guess we forgot the order!!!!

For those of you who follow our blog- you might notice we have had no updates for a long time. Trust me we have important things to share- like graduation and Maggies first ferry ride- however I can't seem to get the pictures to load. I will devote some time to it this weekend and maybe try a different comptuer- so stay tuned- I haven't forgot about you!!!

We say goodbye....

We came home today to find that our favorite tree at the park had been cut down. The boys were VERY sad..and we went to say goodbye and take a few last pictures. I've attached some pictures we've taken over the years. Goodbye to our favorite tree:(

Pinewood Derby

Last night was the Pinewood Derby...Ben got 4th place---which involved a TROPHY!!!!!!!!!!! He was soooooo happy!!! A special thanks to Jason for helping to make it happen;)
