WOW!!!!!!

Today we went to Frank's Diner in Kenosha (about 30 miles away). It was an awesome experience. First of all...let me just say I don't like breakfast..not my favorite meal of the day...however because the garbage plate is their speciality I felt I needed to get it....and WOW!!! I have a new love for breakfast. The atmosphere was sassy (to match my new hair:) it was a little bit like Ed Debevics...and we LOVE Franks!!!!
Franks was also on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives!!!

Finally an update

A peacock in a tree. I didn't realize that peacocks could get up in trees- guess you learn something new everyday.
It felt like the elephant as so close that it was going to throw something at us!
Sam wanted to pose by the sign...have I raised him well or what?:)
The boys don't have school today or tomorrow. I took today off to stay home with them. We cleaned out closets (a job I HATE) and went to the zoo. Jason will be staying home with them tomorrow...more fun times I'm sure!!!!

Lotsa Pasta!!!

Serving lunch...check out the size of the meatballs..in the bowl above!!!! Teachers were lined up to eat!
Making the spaghetti....6 lbs of it...notice my awesome hot pad...made by my niece Becca.

The hall outside our room
Today we had our first Cafe... we served a spaghetti lunch for the teachers. It was a lot of work...but the staff loved it and seeing the pride on my student's faces made it worthwhile.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

The scene of the crime..that sneaky little leprechaun got in the house again- this year through the front window. Sam is looking at the goodies the leprechaun left (as a thank you for using our bathroom). Ben is looking down the street for signs of the leprechaun.

I know this is a little late---as the day is almost over...but better late than never?!

A moment in time

And the line of trucks today
The trucks in action on Sunday.
I think this post consists of pictures I will one day look at and wish for days back. It makes me smile to look outside and see Ben's line of trucks...which are ready to move the snow after a storm.

It is NOT spring...

This would be the scene from the previous post!!!
Yet another look of the snow from out my front window.
So in the previous post I thought spring was on it's way. Obviously I was wrong. It is far, far away:(

Spring???

Sam in the tree house

The Water Park

Getting ready to swim!!
Having a great time!

The Beave on a Beaver

There was a wave pool and Sam decided that he needed to karate chop the waves!
Last weekend we went to the Dells with Scott, Michelle and Jenna-- we had a GREAT time!!!

The Domes

I'm a little behind here...On MLK, JR day we went to the Domes...which seems to be what we always do! Alex and Candee went with too!! It is always so nice to go to the Domes in the winter because it's warm and green inside! The train display is during the time we go and this year the theme was LEGO's!!!!

MONSTER JAM

Yes...you do need to imagine the title with the announcers voice stressing every syllable!
1st picture- a truck jumping
2nd picture- Gravedigger flipped and they had to roll him over
3rd picture- the pit 'party' before the show started- not reallly my idea of a party (there was no cake!!!) but who am I to question how they title things....
I did decide one good thing about going to see the monster trucks...no line at the women's bathroom!!!! There is a 1st for everything:)

It's still cold out....

One project completed...Granny Ginny made me this wall hanging-- it is 2 little boys making a snowman. For some reason I haven't taken the 10 minutes it took to sew a dowel on it and hang it up. Well....it got done today!!!!!

The boys played with play-doh...a fun time:)
We are home AGAIN because of the cold weather. I'd like to say we did something exciting with the 2 days we had off...unfortunately the only major things we have done are eat and get dressed. The boys are going to watch Scooby this afternoon and I'm going to read some 'exciting' articles on writing and learning disabilities--whoo hoo!!!!

Brrrr it's cold out there!!!!!

We got to stay home today..because it's so cold outside. We decided to put water out and see how quickly it would freeze-- it took about 90 minutes.
Jason was a little cold last night so he bundled up to watch tv.
