Summer in the city

So it's about 7,000 degrees outside...and what to do to stay cool?
Well, we went to McDonald's with a playground for breakfast. I must say that we had a VERY, VERY nice teenager wait on us...as my brother, Rob, and I talked about... teenagers today are scary...so it very refreshing to have this kid be so nice and helpful.
We ran a few errands and then Alex, Candee and Marlee came over. The boys watched part of Ice Age and Marlee scooted around.
After nap time we went to the pool at the park. It was our LUCKY day. We got there at 3:30---thinking we'd only have an hour to swim (they close at 4 this year) however because it was SOOOOO hot, they stayed open until 5!

The pool looks very refreshing. Only one more day of heat and then a break for two days. YEAH!!!

I love the picture of the boys! We had a heat wave here too. Yuck! We took Aeli swimming, but I guess it wasn't quite hot enough for her here in Maine--she hated it and screamed the whole time! She hates being cold and pools don't get that warm in these parts!!!
